F5 Networks Named to FORTUNE’s List of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies

F5 is ranked No. 64 among what FORTUNE calls “the world’s supercharged performers”

F5 Networks, Inc., the global leader in Application Delivery Networking (ADN), has been named one of the world’s fastest-growing companies, according to FORTUNE. F5 is ranked No. 64 among what FORTUNE calls “the world’s supercharged performers” on its 2010 list of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies. F5, the only company in its market space to make the list of 100, ranks No. 17 among the top technology companies.

“It’s truly gratifying for F5 to be recognized by FORTUNE as one of the world’s fastest-growing companies,” said John McAdam, President and CEO of F5. “I believe our ability to thrive in today’s economic climate is due to the strategic value our solutions provide to customers—allowing them to respond quickly to change, scale their businesses online, reduce costs, and ultimately, to be more competitive.”

The following criteria was evaluated in determining FORTUNE’s list of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies: listing on a major U.S. stock exchange; filing quarterly reports with the SEC; a minimum market capitalization of $250 million and a stock price of at least $5 on June 30, 2010; and trading continuously since June 30, 2007. The company must also have revenue and net income of at least $50 million and $10 million, respectively, for the four quarters ended on or before April 30, 2010. Finally, the company must have posted an annualized growth in revenue and earnings per share of at least 15% annually over the three years ended on or before April 30, 2010.

The full list and related stories appear in the September 6, 2010 issue of FORTUNE, available on newsstands on Monday, August 23, and online at http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortunefastestgrowing/2010/index.html.
